Music and the Arts Music is a very important part of daily life for Goshen Preschoolers. The music program uses rhythm, rhyme, patterns, and memorization as the foundation for developing communication skills. Lower School students are introduced to the recorder as a springboard to reading music. Holidays are a wonderful time to showcase talent and teach the children the joy of public performance. At Goshen, art is abundant, whether it is hanging on our own walls or is on display at another venue.
Physical Education Physical education class at Goshen Friends encourages children to enjoy movement. We provide a non-competitive environment where the focus is on being part of the game, not winning or losing the game. Cooperative games are the mainstay of our program. We present opportunities for the children to trust their own abilities, as well as trusting others, to help achieve common goals.
Spanish Spanish Preschoolers are introduced to Spanish through festivals and vocabulary. Lower School students focus on conversational Spanish. Many Spanish celebrations are an opportunities for the school to come together as a community and explore Spanish language and culture. Visit the classroom!
