EVENTS AT GOSHEN FRIENDS SCHOOL
The following is an overview of the many events and programs sponsored by GFS. You can always find more details on our website, goshenfriends.org, as the dates draw near.
First Friends Picnic—An on-campus dinner welcoming new students and their parents. September 1st at 5:30pm.
Back to School Picnic—A potluck supper on campus, a great way to start a new year! September 24th at 5:30pm, raindate is October 1st.
The Goshen Coffeehouse—A celebration of our lower school students’ talents. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this unique event that includes music, dancing, stand-up comedy and the occasional jumping of rope. Intrigued? February 27th at 2:00 pm at the Westtown School’s Lower School Community Room (March 6th snowdate).
La Fiesta—A gathering celebrating the wonderful culinary heritage of Spanish speaking countries. Maestra Rosana and her lower school students plan the menu, families choose a recipe, and the final result is a very tasty buffet. All are welcome. May 5th at 5:30 pm on the GFS campus (May 12th raindate).
In addition to those listed above, the parents’ group, the Goshen Friends Community (“GFC”), also organizes many wonderful opportunities for meeting fellow families. Check the school calendar and the parents' page for upcoming festivities!
