Tangible Tactics

Everybody learns in their own way--some by touch, others by sound, still others by sight. At Goshen Friends, our responsive curriculum allows each learner to explore and find his or her optimal method for learning.

Goshen Friends' Students are on the Ball!

Goshen Friends 3rd, 4th & 5th Graders stay focused and fit using exercise balls instead of conventional chairs.

Garden Club

Students get their hands dirty planting seedlings that will be nurtured in our greenhouse.

Haitian Donations

Goshen Friends' families collected over 800 pairs of shoes and donated them to the Soles4Souls program. Students also did household chores, babysitting, and lawn work and donated their earnings of $2,500 to the American Red Cross and American Friends Service Committee.

Mindful of our beginnings

Goshen Friends School was established in 1959 as a kindergarten for the children of local farming families. Our founder, Barbara Dixon, envisioned a school filled with joyful learners; where all would be “welcomed, respected and appreciated.” Today, Goshen Friends School is a Quaker, PAIS (Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools) accredited, coeducational, country day school for children, preschool through grade five.
