Mission
Guided by the Quaker values of Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Stewardship, Goshen Friends School fosters a joy for learning in very young children. Using a responsive, experiential and play-based program that embraces the natural wonder of our campus, Goshen encourages children to be their best selves as they explore the world around them.
Essential Principles:
- We honor the Quaker practice of “answering that of God in everyone,” and promote respect for individual growth.
- We create a sense of belonging where children are empowered to grow in all aspects of their lives: intellectual curiosity, physical development, and social and emotional preparedness.
- We value a diverse community that is stronger when students, families, and staff are valued as unique individuals.
- We encourage empathetic, trustful relationships and we model peaceful conflict resolution.
- We give back by emphasizing frequent, active involvement in our surrounding community.
- We are environmental stewards who incorporate our 10-acre campus in all aspects of learning.
